Hey, welcome. I’m Zoë.

I’m a product designer living in the Bay Area with her sights set on Austin, Texas.

I love designing things that make people’s lives easier and more fulfilling. My favorite color is yellow and my latest hobby is baking bread.

WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

Originally from Palo Alto, CA, I spent my early years playing water polo and building custom MySpace themes for strangers on the internet. When college came around, I decided to explore a little and spent four years in New Orleans at Tulane. I studied Communication and French, but really also got a pretty good education in brass bands and crawfish.

My first role was at a startup called about.me (now acquired by Broadly). I managed our outreach to college students and created content for social and our blog. Post-college, I dabbled in city-living in New York before spending a year on the road with Remote Year, spending a month in a new city all around the world for one year. During Remote Year, my role with about.me morphed more into a https://open.spotify.com/track/6QTPacyXkZWG9FMwq6L1hJ?si=FPJpb9aXSgaXRI4McM9_7Q, where I managed all of our communication to users, conducted research, and dreamed up (and implemented!) new features to make our users’ lives easier.

In 2018, I took a job as a digital producer at Beyond, a user experience design agency based in New York City. I collaborated closely with clients on the Google Marketing Platform and Google AdMob teams to design and build marketing sites. I managed a small agile team of designers, strategists, and developers and learned the power of adapting methodologies to meet your people where they are and how they work. I also had the goal of making my clients laugh during each call.

I believe my power lies in taking things from good to great. I love working with existing to products, particularly ones that have an offline component, and unearthing challenges for users, or even internal teams. Being able to create something and then iterate upon it to make it even better is something I feel called to do every. single. day.

I’m a big fan of processes and constantly iterating upon them. I love a good sticky note and will most likely ask you your Myers-Briggs personality type within a few hours of meeting—I hope you’re willing to share! I’m a INTJ, for what it’s worth.

Oh—I also have an alter ego as a cheese aficionado and have taught cheese tasting classes at Soho House, Sezane, and with private clients. You can find out more on @trythischeese.

That’s enough about me. What about you?

I’d love to learn more about you, any design challenges we can solve together, or just chat about that Myers-Briggs type of yours. 😉
