Blomma Launches in SF & NYC

The Blomma team set out to produce two experiential and celebratory events to commemorate the launch of their new AI coaching app. I supported their marketing team in producing events in SF and NYC.

Guest Takeaways: Limited Run Risograph Prints

Overview:

I led the creation of a custom risograph print gifted to investors, friends, and early supporters. The goal was a branded keepsake attendees would actually want to hang in their space, not standard swag, but a piece that captured the feeling of the brand and the milestone of the launch.

Creative Direction:

We developed two directions for the illustrator to explore, both inspired by the growth inherent to the product. We wanted to lean into the poppies (our brand flower), forward motion, while also staying design-forward and avoiding anything too techy.

Production:

Working with a riso printer, I oversaw the print run to ensure the final piece captured the right texture and color feel unique to risograph printing — a natural fit for the brand's warm, editorial aesthetic.

Outcome:

A limited-run print that doubled as a launch keepsake, reinforcing Blomma's identity beyond the events themselves.

The final product: A custom limited edition risograph print inspired by growth.

A custom gift: Prints were available for guests to takeaway after the event.

We repurposed the illustration for colorful artwork featured at the SF launch event.

A new art piece: Something that (hopefully) lives on someone’s desk!

Custom Branded Elements

Overview:

For Blomma's San Francisco launch, I led the creative direction for a suite of small, tactile branded moments designed to make the event feel considered and celebratory rather than corporate — reinforcing the brand's optimistic, growth-oriented tone in every detail attendees touched.

Elements:

  • Custom napkins printed with bold branded taglines in the brand's signature yellow, orange, and red palette

  • Drink toppers to add a playful branded detail to the signature cocktails

  • Custom matchbooks with handwritten graphics and brand affirmations

  • Drink tags marking the moment

  • Branded chocolates sourced from small-batch producers

  • Custom stickers distributed via vending machines

Outcome:

The result was an environment where the brand showed up in small, delightful ways throughout the night — from the cocktail in hand to the favor guests took home — creating a cohesive, memorable launch experience beyond the core event signage and print materials.

Interactive Elements

Overview:

Beyond print and branded goods, I led a set of interactive activations designed to get guests actively participating in the brand's story of growth and self-reflection, rather than just observing it. Each moment was built to feel playful and a little unexpected, while staying true to Blomma's core themes of curiosity and career growth.

Prompts invited guests to record and share their career advice.

Elements:

  • Career advice phone booth: A vintage-style branded rotary phone setup where guests picked a prompt card and left a recorded piece of career advice, turning a nostalgic object into an interactive brand touchpoint

  • Sticker vending machine: A custom-wrapped vending machine dispensing brand-affirmation stickers and logos, perfect for a laptop or water bottle.

  • The Bumbys collaboration: Partnered with typewriter poets The Bumbys to give guests a personalized, on-the-spot "career appraisal" — a playful twist on their signature format that tied directly back to Blomma's coaching concept

A sticker vending machine awaited guests as they left the party.

We partnered with The Bumbys for guests to receive a “fair and honest appraisal of their appearance” with a career twist.
